Holy cow. By comparison, Super Mario 3D Land sold 340k first week in Japan. Mario Kart 7 sold 430k. Monster Hunter 3G sold 525k.

Animal Crossing is bigger than Mario and MonHun. I had no idea it was this big in Japan.
