Well it also help that German is one of the base languages that became English. English was the result of a Runic Language (Orginal English), German and French all cooking together in Great Britian's early turblent years.

yeah i know but in the pics i posted there is really a lot of stuff which is almost the same in english or german or something which we just say in english for games. if you would read a normal text you would find less of these similarities. i can also understand swedish, dutch and stuff^^

I put the stuff in more for FOX than anything. I just grabbed your response instead of scrolling back up.

OT: While doing some research on the French occupation made me remember that Henry II wife was deeply involved with events that became the story of Repunzel.

Eleanor of Aquitaine was a very strict wife. (Who was married orginally to Luis the Fat of France) and she had a castle in France that I visited. The castle was built over the water with a tower with one window at the top. That was where Eleanor would imprision the mistrisses of Henry II where some of them died. I had pictures of it, its kind of a nice castle. That was the roots of where the brothers Grimm came up with Repunzel.

That's on topic? *looks at OP*

Anyway, I did know that English has some roots in German (among other things). Now to not continue wrecking this thread.

OT: Metascore predictions, anyone? I expect 80s from quite a few launch games. Maybe a 90 if Little Inferno blows everyone's minds.

Sorry I though OT was off topic.

Usually I see it used as on topic, but whatever. :)
