I am sure Gballzack calls PS2 a poorly built piece of crap because

1. He is a fanboy or 2. He just means that technology,power, visuals of the PS2 was the worst and that is true DC, GC and Xbox were all better.

This time the Wii is in the situation of the PS2 years ago because:

1 It has not so new powerfull technology like the X360 and the PS3.

2. It will probably get other games and more exclusives than the other two competitors.

 Gballzack was talking about (in a fanboyish manner, yes) the PS2's physical hardware becoming faulty, not its technology being worse or anything.  I do think she should tone it down a bit...let's just assume PS2's sales are final, and whether or not half its sales were due to replacements doesn't really matter anymore.
