| Metrium said: In theory, this sounds awsome, but the more I think about it the more I start thinking that they will completly ruin the Star Wars franchise. Episode 1-3 sucked, and I don't see how Disney could make them any better. Now a new trilogy, episode 7 means that this will be post-Darth Vader/Empire... No obi-wan, no Annakin, no palpatine and more importantly NO YODA! (unless they make him a ghost or something, wich would be even worst). This means only 2 options, creat a bunch of new character and new threats to the republic, or continue on Luke, Han-Solo and Lela's story and I never cared about any of these characters. |
The most logical plotline for a new trilogy would be to focus on Han and Leia's kids. They are the stars of a very popular series of Star Wars novels. The movies could just adapt those books. All the actors from the original trilogy are old now, but by doing it as a "Next Generation" thing their age would work.
There are tons of post Return of the Jedi stories to do.
