Last gen the DS's strongest market was America. Japan was good for the PSP. This gen it will swap with the 3DS doing its best in Japan while the Vita will do best in the west. This has nothing to do with 3DS verse Vita sales.

this doesn't make any sense. By units sold, Europe was the best market for both DS and PSP.
