If enough people get Adblock Plus, then the huge coporations will come up with Super Ads that are more powerful than Adblock.  After a while, it will just become an arms race between people not wanting ads and companys wanting to show you ads.  It's how the world ended in The Matrix.

Yes, that is a concern.  It isn't a healthy marketplace either.  Good business consists of having cooperative relationships between customers and businesses, not an arms race.  But it seems the prone state of arms races is what comes about.

I'm not too worried. Publishers have yet to win the anti-piracy arms race so I doubt internet advertisers will win an ad-block arms race.
