Now some of my own crude PS2 sales estimates. Last Year PS2 sold 684,300 units in North America (According to VGC, I kept track of the sales). According to Sony, Annual PS2 sales fell 36% from 2010-2011, but only about 12% from 2009-2010, and half that from 2008-2009 (There was a big drop prior to 2008). Using this trend, I would estimate PS2 sales be 70% less then last year. So If PS2 sold 684,3k last year in North America, adjusting to USA figures this gives us 615.9k units, and losing 50% gives us 309.95k. Using the same logic, and knowing PS2 sold 299.7k in Europe (Since Europe sales are 65% of PS2 hardware sales according to Wikipedia, I estimate Europe PS2 sales are 0.65 x 461.0k) this puts PS2 sales in Europe at 149.85k

I will continue to make estimates on PS2 sales for the rest of 2012 based off scaled sales data for PS2 from 2011, but next year I will only update PS2 sales with concrete Media Create sales data (So only for Japan).

After some discussing with ethomaz, I reduced the drop in sale of the PS2 to 50% (from 70%) for my estimate on PS2 sales for 2012.
