Arcades were fun, but they left me feeling unfufilled.

I don't know why, but I always felt you could never get your moneys worth uness you were really good. I like retro arcades though.

A. Control issues, I never liked the joystick controls.

B. Cost, a quarter up to a dollar a try, which I understand because of how much the machines cost.

C. Graphics and gameplay now, usually pale in comparison to home console versions.

D. No saved progress means bad story, no character improvements, aka, no RPG elements.

E. Portable gaming remedies most of the issues with arcades while adding so much more.

They are classic. I remember waiting to see a movie in the mall and hitting the arcade. It was a good 15 or 20 minutes of fun. However, they really lost their appeal as console gaming improved and surpassed what the arcade could offer in virtually every way.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
