I think this is an important point.
There was that fairly large thread a couple of days ago about how developers of bad games bribed reviewers to get good scores, but far more often, as in this case, it's easier to just not give out early review copies at all. Think about it, if the world exclusive review gives it 9/10 and then the metascore settles around 60, people know something is wrong.
OT: Medal of Honor is a rapidly dying series. I don't really think it was ever particularly good, but it was certainly better than it seems to be now. I think we have enough FPS franchises at the moment that MoH can be left to die.
