It's simply because true Halo fans don't want the story to be spoiled for themselves and others. The Official Halo 4 Thread is still safe to talk about Halo 4 news while not revealing any of the leaks. So I would recommend any Halo fans that still want to continue to talk about Halo 4 to following the The Official Thread and avoid outside threads.
