i'm not saying that nintendo isn't planning for it...just that it won't be the full service promised in that E3 video (the non-specific action figure one).   many elements will be there at launch but if i were to bet on it i'd say smartphone integration and video chat are the most likey canidates for features not at launch but at some later date.

and that's not a dig, that's just reality.  online infastructure isn't easy.  we've seen game after game after game that is online multiplayer focused launch with issues even after having betas.  you simply can't stress test these systems pre-launch.

hell, sony has had psn out for how long now?  6 years.  they recently just had to retract the psn store update because it wasn't stable...

The fact that miiverse doesn't have video chat doesn't make it less competitive, right? It just puts the Online Infrastructure in that expected "always in progress" status.

Also, the instability of a Sony update does prove that online needs to be done properly, but Nintendo is currenlty stress testing its system prior to deployment, so this is a question of management. I don't expect issues personally

I know it's not a dig, kit, but it just doesn't seem to hold water, and I had to tell you :)
