-The wii has done that with its cheap price, "casual-party-family" games and Motion controls, it attracted lots of new people who never owned a console before to the gaming world along with the nintendo fans, thats the main reason of why it sold that much
-Normally i disagree when someone says that the controler is a tablet because its not, its a fucking normal controler with a touch screen in the middle, thats what it is, but i know a lot of people than when they first saw it they called it a tablet and for that reason i think that the wii u will collect a lot of normally non-console users again to the gaming world thanks to the tablet looking controler, even as a tablet its pretty cheap, ipads cost lots and lots of money and in overall the tablets seems to be a very popular device nowayas and even more every day
