Forums - Nintendo - Can the Wii U benefits from his "Tablet-Looking" controller among non-console users?

-The wii has done that with its cheap price, "casual-party-family" games and Motion controls, it attracted lots of new people who never owned a console before to the gaming world along with the nintendo fans, thats the main reason of why it sold that much

-Normally i disagree when someone says that the controler is a tablet because its not, its a fucking normal controler with a touch screen in the middle, thats what it is, but i know a lot of people than when they first saw it they called it a tablet and for that reason i think that the wii u will collect a lot of normally non-console users again to the gaming world thanks to the tablet looking controler, even as a tablet its pretty cheap, ipads cost lots and lots of money and in overall the tablets seems to be a very popular device nowayas and even more every day

what do you think?

Around the Network

If the GamePad is utilized right it'll be a major selling point for casuals. You just have to click on the game you wanna play, or watch the show you wanna watch. It's so god damn easy to use! "Click this icon to do what you wanna do" No need to use all those terrifying buttons to get what you want!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

In a world where iPads are able to compete with laptops, I don't see why not. Touch controls as standard are successfully becoming more mainstream as we speak.

How much it will benefit is the real question here. And I expect the answer to be "a lot".

I think it could.

There are many things that Nintendo seems to want to do with it that'll make non-gamers want to buy it.
