in another forum i'm a member at, i can favour a thread with a favour button if i really like the thread. with that, i get a list like my vgchartz buddy list but only with my favourite threads. this function shouldn't really be a problem to program and it would help me a lot in some cases. there are threads you would love to look at from time to time but if you don't save them as favourite in your browser you really have to search for them because otherwise you will never see them again as long as you aren't lucky to log in on vgc around the time when someone posted in it.

it happens pretty often that i see a thread i really liked and didn't open for half an year or something just because i missed it around the time when someone posted in it. then i see months old posts in it which i really would have liked to read around the time when it was posted maybe to respond to it or only because it only made sense then.

i mean, the buddy list is nice but it shows me all the threads i posted in even if 80% of them are not very important to me and because of that huge list then i miss the threads i like much more.

i also think some threads die much faster because of that. in the other forum there are some threads which run for years now and the reason is because people always see the thread when they open their favourites list and with that they post something new in it. and those threads are the best of all.

hope you understand what i mean.
