Well here is the problem, what recipe are they following lol. The problem is you just make stuff up and think we are suppose to just accept it as just an opinion. Saying something false is not an opinion? If you said the sky is red then according to you thats ok because its his opinion lol. No thats just plain false. There is no set recipe lol. If this is a recipe then why does it follow the same recipe as the Wii instead of the DS( the platform they got the second screen from)? I never missed understood his opinion because its the same bs he has been spewing since the start of the gen. Without the games the Wii would have been nothing, not some motion controller. Im tired of pointing this out the Wii wasn't the first motion controlled gaming device so what exactly is the novelty? |
In the context of the massive sales of an underdog console, the fact that it wasn't the first motion controlled gaming device is not what mattered. What mattered, in my humble opinion, is that it was marketted properly and offered as an attracted package.
I will indulge you, look at the the ones that came before it, and ask yourself which ones were backed by the marketting the Wii enjoyed?
In terms of the full Wii recipe, eg the motion controls, the aggressive marketing, Wii Sports, Wii Play, etc, it was an undeniable novelty of the industry (as a full package, marketing, product, software, everything), and this is a fact. The ripples of its novelty (in that sense) is undeniable truth, just go back, read the articles, check the news headlines of nov. and holidays 2006, and you will blow your mind.
