It didn't work with the PS3.

You said "It didn't work for the PS3" which is referring to Francis' comment on selling new consoles well over retail price at launch.
Yet it did.
From the PS3s launch on November 11th until just after Christmas 2006 the PS3's price on Ebay was anywere from $800 to $1200 regularly. However, unlike the Wii, it dropped back to normal very quickly as stock become normalized in January. Wii on the other hand kept very high prices on Ebay for nearly two years due to limited to no stock; especially during 2006 and 2007 holiday seasons.
I live on Ebay. I know for a fact PS3s were at leat $800 and right after black friday up to $1200 for a short time. (i.e. people paid 2x the price for one) I was kicking myself for not doing that for Wii (2006 and 2007) and ps3 (2006).

That article confirms exactly what I said.

How are you going to tell me what I was relating it too? I just told you what it was a response to. There is no opinion or variability on that matter.
The latter half of your post reconfirms exactly what I stated earlier. People "thought" it was going to work with the PS3 ,but it fell. I've no doubt that there were some individuals who were "trying" to charge 1200 and even $10,000 for a new PS3 but the "average price" of those that were gouging on Ebay was no more than $800 and it didn't go through. Most made no sale.

I just stated I saw sales with bids and completing from $800 to $1200 myself. That article says the exact same thing for the $800 range. It happenend. PS3 made resellers money from launch through Christmas of 2006 in the same fashion as EVERY new console that launches near the holidays.

Well if you unnaturaly limit the variables "specifically" to only when the PS3 was showing some sucess and only the few areas that it did in that time frame then yes...but I'm not limiting the variables.
When I said "like" the others consoles I specifally pointed out that wasn't true "because" the PS3 only displayed high prices up to christmas. The other consoles kept it up for months and the Wii for years. That is the point I was making from the very beginning.
