No. The market dictate how long something stays relavent. Not Sony. Not Nintendo. Not Microsoft. Not even Apple.

10 years or more is possible as long as the market still are showing interest.

Being interesting and the market showing interest are two different things.

The PS2 still sells today but it hasn't been interesting since 2007.
