i'm not aware of any ps3 game that allows a full game install from a disc. there are games with pretty large installs but i don't think it's the full game...and if it is the full game it doesn't really matter because yes, the disc is required. if you guy the game digitally then yeah, you obviously don't need a disc. Digital versions can be downloaded to 3 systems now (down from 5 previously).
But like you and other have stated.. obviously this feature can't exist or game sales would be killed.
