I figured out why Xbox 360 owners buy more games than PS3 owners.

Pretty much, boxed retail stats are now fairly irrelevant with the many options for downloaded purchases. And by extension, vgcharts is also irrelevant. :D

Vgchartz is still relevant since most major titles are still available in a physical format and their is still a majority of gamers that prefer to own a physicial copy over a digital copy.  Over time it is definetly becoming less relevant since downloadable games gain in popularity.
