This thread feels like a roundabout way of dolphin pointing out a problem Wii U will have. That said, almost every console has this problem. Didn't the 360 have to compete with cheaper "core" content available for previous gen consoles, including its predecessor? Did't PS3 have to compete with cheaper "core" content available for previous gen consoles and 360? Aren't the 3DS and Vita RIGHT NOW competing with the cheaper content available for their predecessors? Everyone, including this possibly hypothetical father, won't buy into Wii U immediately. Some people aren't so well-off, and like to wait a few years to buy tech when it's cheaper. This isn't a problem, it's a natural part of launching a new console. If the guy is real, tell him to go ahead and get the Wii. He'll save a lot of money and his daughter will be happy (and probably won't know the difference). |
I said he was my colleague and was quite specific. What would convince you he was real? I work with him, so what can help me prove it to you, anyways why would you think I'm lying? That's kind of insulting and a very bad habit to have, you're not a very sensible poster to tell you honestly.
OT, going through that exercise with him this morning made me realize that the WiiU now must compete with the Wii for the casual audience, something the Wii never had to face.
Even if you want to take the attitude of distrusting users, my point is still valid.
