Right. Take the Other M gameplay, add in free-movement with the first-person aim mode (but restricted movement. You go to, say, Metroid Prime tank-like Samus, rather than the highly acrobatic Other M/2D Metroid Samus), cut the cutscenes, add pickups back in, and blow the world open for Super Metroid style adventure (invisible-hand style guidance), and then damn.
