The Playstation part I can understand, Sony was making parts for Nintendo. I can see where the similarity would be, but its not saying very much outside of that. Im not going to talk about the Move because we all know they decided to use the Wiimotes inspiration to further balance out the cam for true control. The Kinect is basically a more powerful eyetoy. We could do into depth on this but there would be no point. Nintendo is using those controllers to make a statement about the type of gamers they want to come to their console. Its the same reason for Zombie U and Bayonetta. They dont want to be percieved as a casual console.

I agree with that.

My only problem is with the statements that Nintendo is copying Microsoft's controller when its the same old controller that they've been using for 6 years only with the button layout adjusted to match the Touch-screen controller for the Wii U(analogs over D-pad and main buttons| 2 of shoulder buttons are perpendicular again like with the original classic controller).

Sony was not really making parts for Nintendo as much as they were "trying to". http://gizmodo.com/339002/extremely-rare-snes-cd-controller-on-ebay

This is what the PSX controller would have looked like.
