That's not why it doesn't count. It doesn't count because only society can do good things. Romney was acting out an individualistic, self-aggrandizing power fantasy, trying to be like his hero John Galt. Those people would be better off dead than having been saved by the likes of him. Also, something about white privilege and boats.
