i still think you can't compare horizon with the other forza games, it is pretty obvious that it will be interesting for some who have no interest in the other forza games and that it won't be interesting for some who love the other forza games because of the different gamestyle. now that could mean both , it could be appealing to more or less people but surely not to the same amount of people. as example i still don't know if i will buy it but i own all other forza games and will buy all in the future which are like the "real" forza games.
it's a little bit like comparing fifa 13 with fifa street, both are football games but you shouldn't compare sales just because both have the name fifa in it.

Hmm While I understand your point that "spinoffs" of main ip's could result in different sales results. It's still part of that franchise and is compared to other iterations in lots of other categories such as pixel count, resolution, in this case tracks, vehicles or any other graphic comparison. And you can bet on if this doesn't review as well as F3 or F4 then the GT guys will definately compare that. I get your point, but I guess I just don't see why if when this releases it will be compared in alot of ways so why is sales off limits?

i am pretty sure it will get a much lower score and probably gt guys will jump on it but if they really want to compare a forza game which has not really something to do with the other forza games or gt games they can do it but in my opinion it makes no sense. sure the graphics of the cars and such things are comparable, like you can compare fifa street player models with fifa 13 player models or pro evolution soccer models but i would ask myself if pro evolution soccer fans are serious if they would start to compare the whole fifa street with pro evo.
they can, but their message is very useless because everyone knows the games are different and there is a fifa 13 or there will be a forza 5 and that's what you really have to compare with pro evo or gran turismo, not if a spin-off developed from another team is not as good as the "real" game.
