Forum rule, but more important than the site's rule in this case is my cineaste snob rule:
Do not degrade a brilliant movie like Dog Day Afternoon with an unworthy link. honor movie classics with classy links instead, like http://every70smovie.blogspot.de/2011/08/dog-day-afternoon-1975.html (my favorite movie blog).
BTW - I'm not sure if Dog Day Afternoon meets Ajescent's thread requirement (my suggestions don't either), but here's a fun fact:
One year before his triumph with Dog Day Afternoon, Sidney Lumet had already directed a great "whole cast trapped at one location" movie: Murder on the Orient Express http://every70smovie.blogspot.de/2011/02/murder-on-orient-express-1974.html (Dog Day is the better movie, but Orient Express is more entertaining), and almost 20 years earlier Lumet had already directed the probably most famous "single location" film of movie history: 12 Angry Men.
