Activision owns those now after they bought Vivendi and Sierra was closed up. I can't see them ever giving up those two franchises, even if they haven't made a new one in...what, 10 years? More?

Oh, yeah, minus constraints, those two would be great! Heh, alas though, Activision is so tight fisted.
I can't think of any other franchises I'd love to see saved beyond those already mentioned...

King's Quest will return (I hope already in 2013) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King%27s_Quest_%28video_game%29
The makers of Space Quest will return as well, with a new game called "SpaceVenture" which will be very similar to Space Quest http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Quest#SpaceVenture http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spaceventure/two-guys-spaceventure-by-the-creators-of-space-que

Hmm...now I'm intrigued. Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to look into both of those.
