Kain, i agree with everything you said but this, they didnt, in fact until Gears of war appeared none of the Xbox games really showed the power of the console beyond the resolution compared to previous gen best looking games such as RE4 and SW:Rebel strike |
If you look at reviews of the first year of games you'll see a lot of praise for graphics. Even ports like Call of Duty 2, King Kong, Quake 4 were applauded for being a substantial step up from the previous gen. The bump in resolution was a big factor, but few could argue that Project Gotham Racing 3 and Condemned weren't graphicaly amazing for the time.
