| fauzman said: This is a bit silly. Everyone expects the GPU (and the CPU) for the Wii U to be greater than the current gen consoles. This is hardly surprising - after all we knw the ps3 GPU currently isnt great and it wouldnt take much to surpass it.I mean seriously, if the specs werent greater then Nintendo could hardly say that this was a next-gen console. Speaking logically the Wii U had to have specs greater than the ps3 or xbox and anyone with sense would have thought the same. However, this isnt the true test of the Wii U's capabilities. That will come with the next xbox and ps4 release. The important thing is not how the Wii U compares with current gen consoles but how it compares with the next gen consoles. |
Who really cares. 720/PS4 are going to be more powerful and probably push Sony/MS to lose a fair amount/unit upfront and release a year later.
If Wii U has a solid GPU that's great for games like Mario Universe, Bayonetta 2, Retro's future IP, Donkey Kong Country Returns 2, Zombi U-2 (heh), etc.
A lot of devs simply aren't going to have the money to push the PS4/720, for a lot of devs Wii U will be decent enough I think.
