Because if it wasnt true, then why would they make a smaller, slimmer PS2? :P Yeah, your opinion, i know, just saying :P Also, about the smaller one being cheaper.. maybe they use slightly different production methods which makes it cheaper? as time goes on, there are new ways to make things in cheaper ways, and more than likely Sony decided to do this to lower the price. I personally like neither. The original PS2 looks... outdated? Its large and bulky, and isnt too appealing to the eye imo. Not very stylish. The new slimmer one... i dont like it particularly either. It just seems to look (to a certain extent) kinda cheap, and i dont like that random black line across the middle. However, i would choose this version over the original any day, as it is cheaper, has the same compatibility and features as the original (but comes with the network adaptor built in, dont think that came with the originals), and its smaller. Yeah, the slimmer PS2 does look cheaper. Anyways, I know that the slimmer PS2 has more built in features, but I just think the older one looks nicer. I don't know, I guess the blue font, and blue vertical stand add some color to the system, unlike the revised model, which has no color at all, and looks, and is, cheaper.
