This sounds like he's trying to run code without optimizing it for the newer instruction sets. The Wii U CPU can do more per clock cycle and the eDRAM should also allow it to handle more tasks. If he's getting fewer onscreen enemies, that means he's trying to push the same code though with as little change to it as possible. In other words, he's trying to rush to meat the launch deadline and doesn't have time to learn the intricasies of the new PU. |
