Since the Wii U was announced I have consistently held the opinion that the Wiimote had more potential but the touch screen will probably be used in more meaningful ways. Between the DS, 3DS and smartphones there are countless examples of how to use a touch screen in interesting ways so even mediocre developers should be able to use them effectively.
