People are very familiar with touch devices, so in that aspect it doesn't seem as new. I really don't believe it has the same wow factor and casual appeal the Wii had. I bet most devs will end up just putting the map or inventory on the controller or something, and even if it offered a lot more than that it just seems disorientating. I'm hyped for the Wii U, but only because of the games. What the hardware is doing doesn't speak to me at all, and I think it'll be the same for most gamers.
