No, you don't. You play as multiple survivors and you start with a new survivor after the last one died and you can pickup all of his equipment and gear. I don't really think ZU is a dead island clone (altho combat is veeery similar), it's the best U game IMO. that was just a remark on ur generic 3rd person shooter comment about RE. Jake and Chris's campaign does look more like a shooter, but Leon's and Ada's are what fans have been wanting since forever. Both horror and survival. And action...and its Resident Evil...they defined Zombie/Survival games
