jesus man when are you going to get it? it doesn't matter if it sold 2 or 3 or 4M if it still didn't manage to cover the costs of producing it. do you think that it's a success for a game like grand theft auto to sell 1M? it´s just plain math or do you also need a lecture on that?

I'll take that math lecture, I'm curious where you're coming up with any numbers for what the game needed to sell since I'd wager that you're making these claims based off the outcome and not hard math.  But just because Sega couldn't afford to make another Bayonetta doesn't necessarily mean that it lost them money, they're in bad straight in general lately so it doesn't really matter how well Bayonetta did if Sega can't afford the initial investment right now.  The fact that Bayonetta 2 was not sheduled for a sequel does not necessitate that it was unprofitable, could just mean it wasn't profitable enough for Sega to take the risk with their current financial situation. The fact that Sega and Platinum Games were still in talks about how to "grow the brand" as PG has stated makes me think that it wasn't a huge financial failure or they wouldn't have been talking about it at all.
