the first bayonnetta wasn't really a success, that's why there wasn't gonna be a sequel

and that's like the classic angry-fanboy phrase: "yeah it's a exclusive now but it will surely suck so they will make a cooler, improved, fantastic, upper dupper better version in my cooler better console"

Seriously? The game sold nearly 2 million copies and trounced the sales of every other title by Platinum Games. There are a lot of games that sell less and get sequels.

You're putting words in my mouth. Have we not seen late ports with content added in the past? Ninja Gaiden 3, Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City... just some examples.

None of those being published by a first party.

The best example in your favor is Ninja Gaiden Sigma/ Sigma 2, but somehow i don't think Nintendo is going to allow that to happen in this case. But then, of course, against your case, stands Mass Effect 1.

I didn't say those were first party games. Those are examples of games that are going to be released on Wii U with added content. Read what I was responding to.

MS also published the Oddworld games on original Xbox which were later ported PS3.

Maybe Platinum Games will bring it to the next MS and Sony consoles. But staying on Wii U just seems unlikely to me.

Platinum Games isn't a publisher. They developed the original Bayonetta as a 360 exclusive. The only reason the game released on the PS3 was because Sega, the publsher, decided to do so themselves. The company isn't big enough to do what you are asking. If they were, they wouldn't have needed Sega to publish the original game. The chances of the new publisher, Nintendo, porting the game to the competition is nil.

@Binary Solo

Sega is trying to stay a float right now and you are incorrect. PG would have had to convince Sammy to publish the game. Sammy runs Sega. Or more aptly, Sammy is running Sega into the ground.
