Civ Revolution was developed especially with consoles in mind, so the Wiimote doesn't fit naturally into that game's concept. Here's hoping for a more traditional Civ game on Wii in the coming years. Looking forward to the DS version though.
What I find funny is that Firaxis say they don't have the manpower to redraw all the graphics for the Wii. Civ games have always been butt ugly, and it just became worse as they tried harder.
