No, but I'm kinda curious too. I'd bet Nintendo gave them a beginning number and based on the pre-orders, will adjust their manufacturing between the two sets as well as define how many they should push to produce.
So first week, let's say Nintendo makes 1million for US. They tell each company they'll for sure get X amount. This is now sold. But based on the sell rate, they'll adjust the 2nd weeks (black friday), so now Nintendo is saying for the next million, instead of 50/50 or 60/40, make 60/40 or 70/30 respectively split between deluxe and basic as clearly the black deluxe set is the most popular. Maybe even asking for an increase from 1m to 2m or 1.5m etc. Also helps define for Japan (which should be huge) as well as EU (good but less than NA).
Nintendo would be smart to try and build 6m before Jan world wide. That's 2m more than Wii and should easily sell while keeping at a level manufacturing could potentially do in this limited time frame.
