Not bad, pretty much what I expected of it, especially since it's not just an RF signal like the Wavebird was and you're constantly streaming video and/or data to the screen.

I remember when the Wavebird was originally released Nintendo stated it only had a range of like 20-25ft or something and people were flipping out. Then I actually bought one, and I could play games with no latency through walls. Outside of my house. Me and a friend tested it once and it worked up to around 50 ft away from the console.

The only thing that bothers me is that Ninty said the battery only lasts 3-5 hours, which is decent I guess but man, expect to be tethered to a wall outlet alot if you tend to game for lengthy sessions at a time.

Where does your 3-5 hours come from.  3-5 hours was for the 3ds.  The tablet is not rendering the graphics and is bigger than the 3dsXL so more space for a battery and less usage of power.  Im pretty sure it will be at least 10-15 hours

It comes from their official E3 briefing back in June, and was reiterrated at their Thursday launch conference in NYC.  I know it's not rendering graphics, but it's constantly streaming video and info and displaying it, it's got a camera, gyro and motion controls, and you're gonna be using the thing constantly with just about every thing you do on the Wii U from playing games to watching TVii.

10-15 hours are you nuts?!?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
