Wii U retailer feedback and pre-sales already "extremely strong" says Reggie

I think there's going to be three crowds of people showing up day 1 --

 

1.) Nintendo fans - Mario + Nintendo Land seals that deal.

2.) Wii fans/casual gamers/women - Gotta have their Nintendo TV + tablet play + Sing Party + Just Dance + fitness games, etc. etc. etc. Wii U is still going to hold the crown for the "party game" machine. Even Kinect now is old news, time for something new for this crowd -- that's Wii U.

3.) Hardcore gamers - Bored of the PS3/360 and given nothing "new" to buy for years now, I think a lot of this crowd are going to buy in just to get something new. Content like Zombi U and Rayman and BLOPS 2 will make Wii U credible to core gamers. And deep down everyone loves a little Mario.
