I am very new to smart phones, and I am not sure just what each one is capable of doing. I assumed they all do the same basic things like make phone calls, text, run apps, and take pictures. Before I actually buy an iPhone, can you list some of the "lot of things that the much cheaper options" can do? I would hate to be misinformed about my purchase and waste a lot of money for nothing. |
Yes, Iphone do basic thing like making phone calls, texting, running apps and taking pictures. All of the cheaper option can do all of that. If you want to do more than that, you are out of luck if you have an Iphone. You have to use the system apps that the OEM wants you to use, such as music or camera apps. For example the default music player on Iphone 4 was weak ( maybe it improved, but ı don't think so), but you can't change it. Or for browser, you have to use Safari. Other browsers are basically Safari in disguise. You can't transfer files via blutooth between other phones if they are not Iphone. You can't save files attached to emails. No customization at all. I can go on if you want.
