Its more like standard controls plus an extra feature instead of an entirely different control set like the Wiimote was. Because of this it will make less of a difference either way. Im sure a lot of people would agree that for some games the wiimote wasnt quite ideal but for others it was a great improvement. Here i would say that the Gamepad has potential to slightly improve controls of every game (plus a little more for games like ZombiU). So overall Gamepad is more versatile but less game changing.
