The point of contention is core games developed or owned by Nintendo. During the Wii presentation in September 2006 Nintendo said that they will continue to develop "these big masterpiece titles for the core gamer" and they kept that promise.

Any complaints regarding "not enough core games" need to be directed at third parties and you know how hard they screwed the Wii over. A case in point you are familiar with: Street Fighter IV. Didn't come to the Wii, but to a weaker platform, the 3DS. Because of this it really doesn't matter how powerful the Wii U is. The important question is if third parties are willing to put high quality games on Nintendo's home console this time around.

Isn't the 3DS stronger ?

Taking into account that it has to render stuff on less pixels.
