I have the same problem when using remote play on my PSP/Vita. That doesn't make the Wii U innocent, though. I just wanted to diffuse something before it got started.
Anyway, the entire point of the Wii U is the controller. It's just a nice bonus on the PSP/Vita. We'll see if it's an issue when I get my hands on it.
