Yep, that's the fix I'm proposing too. It's just a matter of if that lookup is easy to do. I'm not sure if the locked status is placed with the thread info in the same database (the obvious place to put it) or if it's done some other awkward way. I hope I don't sound like I was talking down to you. I don't know everyones' background on the site so I tried to make it a simple explanation without getting too technical. I'd hate to belittle your knowledge as I myself get quite annoyed by it.
