I'm still not sure it uses the standard version of Wireless N. It has some benefits, as you could use an access point or your wireless router to extend the range, but it has some problems, as throughput saturation if you transfer files between computers. Maybe they are using Wireless N as a known marketing term, but it isn't exactly wireless N (Wi-fi direct in the less saturated channel it finds, so no range extension)
