Why do people claimed only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo platforms as if a bad thing?

It's not that 3rd parties can't compete with Nintendo's 1st party games. It's that people don't buy Wii's to play gimped MW3.

I would say the same thing about PS3 from PS2 and PSX. Sony has been going WAY too much in the PC-gaming direction, and Nintendo consoles have more traditional type games that I enjoy.
