I have to agree with being so secretive. Meda wants attention they are attention whores. They need stories to make you listen to/ watch them.
IF Nintendo refuses to "cooperate" they are of no real use because the media cant earn any money. Sothe media goes the other way. The way of BAD NEWS ARE GOOD NEWS. Because you can always make money with bashing things or catastrophes or whatever.
Seriously just watch the news how many % of the news are something positive? Compare that to the percentage of negative things mentioned in the news.
This is why you dont really see the media praising the WiiU etc. Sure it will happen when the thing launches because its a new trendy topic and they would be stupid not to mention the new console. But unless then they will ride the HATE TRAIN (if they talk about it at all)

I would completely agree exept for the fact that this isn't done with the PS3 and 360 or anything from Sony and Microsoft. IF they were trying to sell negativity then why are they always so overwhemingly positive for them in all accounts despite what fact suggest?
It does not correlate. The gaming media behaves as if it has an agenda beyond simple hits and revenue. They intentionally distort stories on a fox news level even if it costs them money and/or causes them to lose credibility.
The completely refuse to cover good news about the Wii U even thought simply writing or copying adn pasting an inverview(which they have done when they intentionally misquoted devs) would cost them nothing.
