Same here. This was one of the games I was really looking forward to playing on the Wii u at or close to launch, but hearing this has certainly killed some of the hype. I'm sure the differences won't be major but its more about the principle, and shows a lack of passion and commitment on ubisofts part. I'll probably still pick it up but maybe I'll wait until it hits a budget price. Why should I spend full price on a game that ubisoft doesn't seem to have put their full effort into?

Unfortunately I think this is going to be the case with a lot of third party ports.
The priority for devs is to get the PS3/360 versions done as those have a 120 million userbase. The Wii U will have a userbase of 6 million at best by spring 2013, assuming Nintendo sells every system they ship.
Guess which platform gets the shaft. At least we're getting AC3 period, other multi-plats like Crysis 3 and Resident Evil 6 aren't happening or if they it's going to be one of those "6-12 months later" type deals.
