I think its the other way round. P-100 may be the best looking and sharpst. But its consist 90% of block geometry and undetailed, yet shiny textures. Compare this to GOW 3 fight with Chronos. Find a HD vid if you can.

What is suppose to be so great about that? Its just a big character with some bump mapped texturing. There is hardly anything going on at all, at least compared to P-100.

Do you not see all of the detail on those buildings? Th ewindows? The objects on the roofs? Then with 20 characters fluidly jumping around. the dust particles, the omnipresent environmental destruction and all at 60 FPS. I'm sorry but GOW3 doesn't come close on a technical level.

But P-100 is just a bunch of low polygon squares with the most basic of textures and some nice specular lighting lol

Its still looks great, I think the 2 games contrast each other perfectly. 

Most basis of textures? You may be doing what most people do and are  trying to compare design preference. I'm pointing out the raw technical performance.

Those textures are HD. Whehter they are basic or not, they still take a lot of resources to produce and then, they are varied. The ones in GOW3 are remapped many times. There is a lot of variation.

Whether they are blocky or not is also a matter of design. The polygon details is still very high. The windows aren't flat and drawn on like in most PS3/360 games. They all stick out from teh building . Every single one of them. The same with the things on the roof. It may not be the more complex looking design but that takes some polygon pushing power to do that to "every" building with so many varied designs.


"Those textures are HD" Simply calling a texture HD does not make it impressive,  block colours in files size and virtually non-existant regardless of whether the texure size is 480p or 1080p. Its a block colour, there is no information in it. Its therefore not demanding for the ram.  As for the building tehy are simple squares, they are not composed of a lot of polygons. they will never be as demanding as organic shapes. Naturally the art choice means the models alone are not demanding so more effort can go into the the amount thats going on screen at any one time or displacement mapping. Not trying to dismiss the visuals of this game, I just think you give it unfair praise over many current gen games.

Yeah but does Uncharted 3 have a guy with a cape in it? Obviously P-100 does.
