Wow, and you actually sit here and tell others not to speak to you in a condescending manner. You should improve the way you speak to people.
You said "It should be 1080p and 60FPS unless they downgrade it before release" and in that same post you said "Regardless of whether or not it is missing lighting or particle effects".
I was saying that lacking those effects while remaining 1080p and 60FPS is still a downgrade for an open world title like this. I think it would possibly be better served if the resolution was dropped in order to maintain the other mentioned features.
Quit being so defensive.

What am I defending? Correcting your errors is not being defensive. What you are doing in this comment right here(defeding your error) is being defensive. Please, learn how to use words properly before you start making negative accusations. I speak to people relative to how they speak to me and how willing they are to try to understand things.
For the last time. Its not a "performance" issue... it a "time" issue. What is difficult to understand about that? They stated it clearly.
Reducing the resolution would make no difference. The features are just not implemented. Its already running at a higher resolution and frame rate. This problem has nothing to do with system specs. It has to with the fact that there is no engine developed for the Wii U to adapt the port. The hardware in the Wii U is completely different than the 360 and PS3. You can't justput the game on a disk and expect everything to work properly on a different system. It has to be rewritten and optimized, and that takes time.

What are you correcting? The article says that while it will most likely be 1080p and 60FPS it will be missing features found in the PS360 versions.
I also never said it was a performance issue, so once again quit the condescending speak because you are getting worked up over things I never said. I never mentioned anything on those lines. I only stated that if it is missing features it would still be considered downgraded compared to the PS360 versions, even if the resolution was higher.
I read and responded just fine.

You said "if the resolution was dropped in order to maintain the other mentioned features." Doing that would make no difference as that would only be of help if this was a performance issue, hence my statement, this is not a "performance" issue.
This is a tme issue. The features have to actually be coded. They do no exist. This is not a "downgrade." It is still being written and worked on. It has simply yet to be iplemented and they are stating that they will likely not have enough time to finish putting those things into the game.

Meaning they could have focused more on things like the lighting and particle effects instead of focusing on making sure it ran 1080p/60fps native at WiiU launch with the time they had.
I have no doubts they could have easily had all those added effects if they had more time. That was never my point.

Running something at a higher resolutions is only an issue of straight GPU horse power and RAM which the WIi U has far more of than the 360 and PS3. It was already implemented at e3.
Time would not play into that. That is not difficult to do.
